I had decided I was going to road walk the first 6ish miles of today since we were getting a late start no matter what but, for whatever reason, the rest of the group decided to join me. It was fun.
There was an additional road walk for the next 7 miles which Notyet and Slim Jim were interested in, so we did that while Piph and Digs did the trail. Then we all climbed moxie bald mountain, which had some cool views.
The shelter we are staying at is right on a pond (apparently full of huge leeches). Piph’s boyfriend Chris said he’d paddle up and meet us, but it’s already pretty late so we are going to bed and will see him tomorrow.
Tomorrow is a super easy day into Monson Maine, to stay at Shaw’s hostel. Last town. Last hostel.
