Last day in New Hampshire and nothing super notable. It was still hot, still buggy, and the trail is still filled with shit here.
I took the Peabody Brook trail after climbing Moriah, which cut off a lot of pointless meandering that the AT does. I was at the shelter pretty early and ran into Birdman, who I met at the notch hostel (where he told us that the kinsmans was like hiking two mousilaukes, which has become a running joke).

People started flooding in tho as the day went on. There’s a bunch of section hikers again, a youth camp, more flip flops, and a big group of Sobos. Bear box is full.
Tomorrow is going to probably be the physically toughest day on trail. Climb Mt success, cross into Maine, climb the goose eyes, crawl through mahousac notch, and then climb the mahousac arm to hopefully end at Speck pond. 15 miles total but a lot of those miles are considered to be incredibly difficult. I feel like I will be able to do it, but it will not be a day I’ll want to relive. Next day is town at least.
The feeling of this being nearly over is starting to rise, but I think it won’t fully set in until after tomorrow.
