Late start from the hotel. At 10am we still had 20+ miles to do, but overall today was pretty cruisey. Weather was very pleasant. Vermont is known for mud and there was definitely a good amount today, but it was very tolerable.
It was Slim Jim’s birthday today so we all told her happy birthday every time we stopped. There are tons of shelters on this stretch.
Got to camp around 630. Next to a creek which is nice. I tried to hang across the creek but my straps are too short.
Notyet and Piph struggled with a bear hang. The can still owns I will never ditch it.
Couldn’t cheat at all today but probably will do a fairly significant one tomorrow morning. Supposed to rain. Will probably mean more mud.
