Insanely hot today. I felt drenched by about 7 am. Our group of 4 was moving pretty close together today so a lot of people passed me while I was looking like absolute shit sitting on a rock I'm sure. Ran into Van Gogh a bunch which was cool. He takes a picture of the most interesting blaze he sees every day and we walked into a real wild one today.

Bunch of people saw bears today. I saw nothing but bugs. They are getting worse for sure. Got to the cabin at around 2 and felt like death. It’s nice tho.

Soaked my feet in the pond for a bit but my head has been killing me all day and it feels like I have a nerve pinch or something going on in my shoulder.

Played a game of bananagrams in the cabin but I still feel fried even after several liters of water. Most people are staying in the cabin. It is hot as hell in there. Someone pitched their tent right in the middle of the trail to the tentsite. Fuck.

20 miles to Dalton tomorrow. I will be up early. Notyet, Slim, and Piph are planning on tenting in some guy’s yard there. I will probably just get a hotel or something if I can.

Goalposts moving again. If I quit in Dalton then I’d be just shy of mt greylock. Quit there and I’m just shy of the border to VT.
