Woke up early today. Still hot as hell. By about 7am I was gushing sweat. Decided to cut onto the road to make today bearable. Still hot tho. Cop flagged me down and told me that walking the road was a bad idea. Didn’t care.
Got to the deli 5 miles out from the shelter at about 1. Looked at plane tickets and train options for a while. Notyet took a bit longer since he didn’t cheat. Sat in some AC and ate a sandwich and crushed a couple beers with him. Left before 5 or so and it was slightly cooler, but we still had to do a 3 mile water carry since the shelter didn’t have water. Not fun but day is over at least. Slightly better than yesterday but not by much.
Tomorrow is going to be hotter. It’s about 20 degrees above average for this area this time of year. It is cooler in Fiji. Longer day mile wise but the terrain looks slightly better.
