Long day. Weather was fine at least but the scrambling just went on and on.
PA scrambling so far usually has at least a couple breaks of flat ground every 5 or so miles, but the last like 12 miles today felt like an endless sea of rocks.
Got to the hotel in Lehighton fairly late (and they gouged the shit out of me since it is memorial day weekend) but I am super glad I pushed today because doing anything I did today in the rain would be very not chill. Climbed the PA knifes edge, bear rocks, and bake oven knob. Climbing down from bake oven was probably the sketchiest climb I’ve done in my entire life.
A guy I had camped with a couple times named 2 decades called it for the day right before knifes edge. It is going to rain all day tomorrow, I have no idea what his plan is but I would not touch any of that shit in the rain (I’m zeroing tomorrow). Hope he’s okay.
