Managed to get up early but my ankle very quickly started to bother me with some rather intense pain. Spent a couple hours easily trying different things to see what helped. I think the wrapping I’m using, whether it is leuko, moleskin, or bandaids is coming loose after a few hours and then starting to rub. Really hoping it isn’t getting infected but I’ve been cleaning it and putting Neosporin on it pretty frequently. Made it thru a ton of climbs today still.
Was originally going to stop at thunder ridge shelter but the water there sucked and it meant a 15 mile day into Glasgow tomorrow with some non trivial climbs. Decided I’d push to one of the stealth camp sites at a further water source. Wanted to hit one 6 miles further but it started to get dark and my ankle was flaring up again so I just called it at one about 3 miles out. Usually these are empty but for whatever reason as soon as I set up here like 4 other people showed up. Sucks.
