Short walk to hot springs. Got into town well before I could check in to my cabin so I went to the smokey mtn diner. Woodrow and Tinker were both there. I ate with Woodrow (they gave me wayyy too much food) and he told me some more crazy stories about standing bear. Apparently one of the workers there used to live in a cave on the farm property. He said it was a nice cave tho.
Hot Springs is still pretty wrecked from Helene unfortunately. Lots of places are either under construction or straight closed.
Went to the outfitter hoping to swap my puffy out because it is huge and heavy and I hate it. All they had was mont bell which is supposedly a real good brand so I just went ahead and bit on it. I think it’s a good swap, will find out when I get back out.

Showered. Did laundry for the first time in like two weeks. Chilled at the big pillow brewery for a while, was nice. Met a guy from Nashville named Hal who runs a record label (rednoterecords.com) and talked with him a while. Live music at the brewery. Is kind of nice to be around people for a bit but kind of overwhelming. Tinker told me he was scrambling for a room and I offered him the couch in my cabin but I haven’t seen him since this morning. Hope he got something.
Someone at the big pillow brewery bought Woodrow a beer next time he comes back (I bought Notyet a beer for when he gets here)
