Got thru most of the 5.4 mile trek to the Fontana village marina before the sun started to cook. Marina had signs of Notyet being there so that was a relief.
Shuttled into the lodge/village with bladerunner, managed to get an early check in and the room is actually really nice. Hoping to rot here a really good portion of the day.
Ate a pulled pork sandwich at “a really good gas station” that was recommended to us. Bladerunner picked up a food box he’d sent here and gave me half of it because he always has too much food, so not doing a lot of resupplying here.
I’m tired but not able to sleep, so just trying to stay off my feet and doom scrolling the weather thru the smokies. I swear I’m going to be wearing shorts the entire way. Everyone who told me that February was too early to start needs to go get checked for brain damage.
