Short hike today to the resupply at mountain crossing. I’ve been with a small group of folks for the past couple days and am staying at the hostel with some of them (notyet and bladerunner, chill peeps). Housed a frozen pizza, threw out a bunch of garbage from my pack, sat around a lot, showered and did laundry which was nice but I do feel like I should be going head first into being nose blind. Broke my initial cardinal rule of not looking in a mirror. Won’t happen again.
Tomorrow is a 12.1 mile hike to low gap shelter. Should be doable. My original plan was to resupply again in Hiawasee in 3 days but notyet and bladerunner twisted my arm into skipping that until we make it to Franklin so I guess I’m going to do that. Means I’m carrying a bunch more food tho.
