Deviated from the plan today. Was supposed to shuttle out of woody gap, which I got to in like, 2 hours, but instead pushed to woods hole shelter.
Big sky and a new person named oso were at gooch gap and gave out some coffee (and I grabbed another lonestar in hopes of carrying it to maine).
At woody gap, “Fresh ground ” was there with a ton of food, which I didn’t eat much of because I feel horrible hiking after a meal. Hoping I did not offend him. People are crazy generous here, which is nice.
Getting to woods hole was a slog. The water source here is mad dry and there were some real brutal ascents that I had to carry 3 liter of water up. If I didn’t do this tho I’d be taking a 10 mile day tomorrow including everything I did today and going over blood mountain, which sounds frightening.
Tomorrow is neel gap, which has a resupply and also a hostel I may stay at. Mostly I just want a shower and charge. Supposedly an easy ish day of 4 miles.
